Why choose the All About Me Band?
We know there are many entertainment options out there and that it can get overwhelming when deciding which one fits you best. The simple way to get clarity is to ask a lot of questions to ensure you make an informed decision. Below are some reasons why we believe our many clients have chosen us to perform at their special occasion:
1) First and foremost, we absolutely love what we do! We are fortunate to be in the business of helping people have fun. We know how to put the spotlight on you and make you the star of the night. Which is kind of how we came up with our name. As cliche as it may sound, 'All About Me' is a family of musicians who appreciate being with each other so much that they would find any reason to get together, in the rare event that there wasn't a performance available for them!
2) We believe that bigger is not always better and have made a conscious decision to operate as a small boutique music group representing just one large band (and several smaller ensembles). This way, we can offer supreme quality as we will always be dedicated and focused on one event at a time, thus providing the best possible service to each client. Our musicians like this exclusivity and pride themselves in being part of it! We are kind of like the Jerry McGuire of the music world.
3) The bandleader of the All About Me band is also the business owner and will be present at your event. How many agencies can say that?! The buck stops with him, and he will do everything to ensure your event is executed to perfection! Not to mention that it's always nice to get the personal attention when you are dealing with something so personal as your wedding or other dear-to-your-heart affair.
4) It goes without saying, but we'll say it none the less - WE NEVER LIP-SING OVER PRE-RECORDED TRACKS OR USE KARAOKE TRACKS! We are here to perform live for our clients and we would never compromise with the quality of our craft!
5) We pride ourselves in 'staying small'. What does that mean for you? - minimal overhead, which translates to more of your money going to the musicians, who in turn are happier (than others) to be at the performances. Happy musicians pour their heart and soul into each performance! Another perk of hiring us is that you get genuine personal attention, customization and understanding.
6) Our super talented musicians. We have carefully selected our musicians to be the best you can find in Philadelphia. When we selected them, we looked for talent, but also paid close attention to personalities. Our musicians like performing together! This isn't just a job for them, which is why they share the fun they are having with your guests during your event.
7) Although our lead singers have never to date missed a performance, if this were ever to occur, we have established a list of back up musicians (also very talented) who would jump at the opportunity to sing with the band on any given day. How do we know that? They often call to check if we are holding auditions or have an opening in the band. They do so because they have heard through the grapevine about the level of musicianship in the band, the generous pay and the fun times we always have.
8)
Our bandleader and MC (Master of Ceremonies) offers not only extensive experience in terms of years, but also in terms of quality of work. He has recorded and performed on stage with Celine Dion, Will Smith, Jennifer Lopez, Frankie Vali, Aretha Franklin, Donna Summer, LL Cool J, the O'Jays and many others and learned how to create a fun, top notch performance. Don't take our word for it, see for yourselves at www.mikejarosz.com. In addition to large-scale events, Mike has led the band at hundreds of weddings, galas and corporate parties. He knows how to work with caterers and adjust to last minute changing event schedules in order to achieve a perfect flow of events. He's the incurable perfectionist!
9) We own our sound equipment (the elegant Bose speakers) - THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! This translates into at least two very underrated yet hugely important advantages. One, it allows us to control the volume of the sound at all times (no high pitched feed back either) so that when your guests are having dinner they can converse amongst themselves easily and when the dance floor opens they can feel the music pulsating through their body. Two, perhaps most overlooked unless you are one of the few unlucky people this has happened to (or you are in the industry), it eliminates the risk of a no-show sound vendor. One more thing, have you seen how the Bose system looks? Not to brag, but no bulky PA systems separating the band from the guests and taking up part of the dance floor. It's sleek, elegant and very powerful!
