LL Cool J & the All About Me Rhythm section in the studio

In 2008 the musicians from the All About Me Band had the rare privilege to perform and record 8 songs on LL Cool J's latest album Exit 13. They were selected by his Music Director for their exceptional talent, work ethic and professionalism. Although individually they have recorded and performed with numeral pop artists (like Beyonce, Will Smith, Aretha Franklin, Frankie Valli, Celine Dion, Jennifer Lopez and many others), recording on LL Cool J's album is one of the greatest accomplishments and most fun time the All About Me musicians have had as a group. It goes without saying that recording under the supervision of one of the greatest hip-hop musicians and entertainers of all times is a treat to remember for life. As a bonus, all musicians received credits in the album liner notes to acknowledge their participation in the creation of the album. Pictured above on the left is a shot from inside the control room after recording "Time For War", the opening track to the CD. You can hear trumpet, trombone, sax, drums, percussion, keys and even background vocals on 8 tracks throughout the CD.

Pictured on the right is LL with the bandleader of the All About Me Band, Mike Jarosz, after an MTV live show in New York City. This exhilarating experience, performing on stage with the king of hip-hop music has made a significant mark on MIke's career as a performer and entertainer. He strives to bring this level of high energy to each All About Me performance through careful music selection and connection with the audience. Just like LL Cool J and his crew carefully prepare for each performance to make it flawless yet spontaneous and tailored to each crowd, Mike and the band treat every party with the same care and respect. With musicians of such class, who love performing with each other and feed off of each other's talent and energy, the life of every party is immediately there, as soon as they set foot on stage. This effortless fun party vibe is the signature of the band and all audiences respond to it with enthusiasm and fun loving attitude!

And finally pictured on the bottom left is another shot from a live show with LL Cool J, on stage at the Essence Festival in Houston, Texas (Mike Jarosz taking the picture). Performing for thousands of excited fans is an incredible feeling that stayed with him for a while. As a result, every performance he has he strives to reach that energy level - whether at another big concert or a smaller private gathering. Mike learned first hand that wherever there are people brought together to celebrate and party, all it took is to ignite them to bring that energy out of each and every one of them. The result is an All About Me party night that everyone hopes will never end. And in a funny way, the band owes this to LL Cool J - an exceptional entertainer and all around great person to look up to!
